Today marked the kick-off of our Prague adventure, and it's been a day of rehearsals, unexpected twists, and a side of carb temptations. Let me fill you in.
Our choir aced the rehearsals today, earning nods of approval from our coach, Bob, and the legendary Lebo M.
Their compliments were like a sweet melody to our ears, and it's safe to say we're pumped for the upcoming performances.
Key takeaway: When you have a huge assignment like this one, overprepare! It will be smooth sailing. All those extra rehearsals back in Nai really and truly paid off.
After a slight hiccup our delayed luggage finally made its appearance as we were having breakfast. Yipee!
Also, our teammate, who got caught in the overbooking chaos back in Nairobi, made it just in time to join us for afternoon rehearsals. Double Yippee!
Key takeaway: Everything always works out in the end, so just smile and chill!
Today's rehearsals unveiled a surprising addition – dance!
We're collaborating with a Zimbabwean choreographer, called Future Love.
I told him our dancing future is in his hands... (hahahhahaha sorry, not sorry)
Clearly, our performances are going to have a New Dimension (pun very much intended)
Shall we dance?
Key takeaway: Be flexible - literally and figuratively. Go with the flow and enjoy yourself and as I said, everything will fall in place. You don't know if you can unless you try.
As we navigate the musical landscape of the World of Hans Zimmer Tour in Prague, the universal language of music is evident.
It has the incredible ability to transcend borders and create a sense of unity.
Key takeaway: Music is powerful. I have the responsibility to wield it well.
On a lighter note, my attempt to resist the allure of European bread failed miserably.
Nom nom nom...carbs 1, willpower 0.
European bread is simply too delicious to resist!
And there you have it, Day 1 – a mix of highs and unexpected turns.
Stay tuned as we continue this musical journey through the World of Hans Zimmer.
See you in my next post for more behind-the-scenes stories!
