Day 3: Adventures in Communication! 🗣️🌟
Hey there! Thanks for coming back to the blog for more doses of juicy storytelling!
Day 3 in Prague brought some interesting tales from the non-musical side of things.
Who knew gesticulating could be a skill to master? Let me spill the details.
Lost in Translation at H&M:
So, picture this – I stroll into H&M, pick out some goodies, and then the challenge begins.
Attempting to pay for my items turned into a hilarious charade.
The lovely worker assumed I wanted to hit the fitting rooms, and I was there gesticulating like a pro, trying to communicate, "No, I just want to pay!" 😅
Eventually, we made it to the till, and I even learned how to say "thank you" in Czech – a must when navigating new places!
Language Lessons for Survival:
Lesson learned – it's crucial to pick up a few basics in the local language.
Today's vocabulary includes "thank you," "till," and "changing/fitting rooms."
Next on the list: survival phrases for the laundromat. Who knows what linguistic gems I'll add tomorrow?
Currency Shenanigans:
Speaking of new words, the currency here is called the Koruna.
As soon as we heard that, one witty choir member quipped, "Oh no, mask season again?" 😂
I'm definitely in the right choir – humor knows no language barriers!
Prepping for Showtime:
On the musical front, tomorrow brings a run-through of the entire show! 🎭
Excitement levels are soaring, and we can't wait to hit the stage and share the magic!
That's a wrap for today's linguistic and currency adventures. Join me tomorrow for the grand rehearsal and more tales from the World of Hans Zimmer tour!
